Terms of use

The short version: use your own photos, keep it respectful, and remember the results are AI-generated. Last updated 6 November 2026.

The service

Proshot ("the app") turns photos you provide into AI-generated headshots. It is offered by Dalyn Butler ("we"). By using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.

Your photos

• Only upload photos of yourself, or of someone who has asked you to make headshots for them and has agreed to this processing. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent, and never of minors.
• You keep all rights to your photos. You grant us only what is needed to process them into headshots and deliver the results to you.
• Do not upload anything unlawful, hateful or sexual. Generations that break this rule are refused and may lead to the install being blocked.

The results

• Headshots are generated by an AI model and are a likeness, not a photograph of a real moment. Check them before using them anywhere that requires an unedited image.
• You may use your headshots for any lawful personal or professional purpose. You are responsible for how you use them, including disclosing that they are AI-generated where that is required.
• Results vary. Clear, well-lit, varied photos of your face give the best likeness. We do not guarantee any particular result.
• Finished headshots are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Save the ones you want.

Credits and payment

• Your first set of four headshots is free, once per install. After that, credits are one-time in-app purchases billed by Apple at the price shown in the app. One credit makes one set of four headshots in one look.
• Credits are tied to your install ID, never expire, and can be restored on a new device with Restore purchases as long as the same Apple ID made the purchase.
• If a generation fails completely, the credit is returned automatically. If some headshots in a set come out and others don't, the credit is used. Refunds for purchases themselves are handled by Apple under its policies.

Fair use

We rate-limit generation per install and per network to keep the service available. Attempts to abuse the free credit or the API may result in the install being blocked.

Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for credits in the previous three months.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
